Vodafone M2M Barometer 2015

Detailed insight into how Machine-to-Machine communications and the Internet of Things are driving business transformation around the world

Businesses have increasingly turned to M2M and the Internet of Things (IoT) to help them achieve their goals, both as part of strategic M2M projects and as an integral part of the products and services they buy. As a result we are seeing more evidence of how M2M is transforming lives and business.

This barometer report, based on interviews with over 650 business and IT executives, tracks how businesses are adopting this emerging technology, which regions and industries are pulling ahead, and how fast the market is growing.

Vodafone M2M connects previously isolated machines or devices to the internet, delivering new functionality and enhanced services without the need for human intervention. Supported by more than 1,300 dedicated employees, Vodafone's global M2M platform makes it easy for global businesses to manage centrally M2M deployments across multiple territories, with greater control and at a lower cost than previously possible. Vodafone shipped M2M SIMs to over 22.9M to global customers (as of  Q1 2015). Vodafone has mobile operations in 26 countries, partners with mobile networks in 55 more, and fixed broadband operations in 17 markets.
