Berlin is no different than Boston or Bangkok: citizens in all three places are spending more and more time connected and are excited about 4G networks, machine-to-machine technology and embedded mobile devices. Amdocs' market research survey of five European nations, including Germany, shows that German consumers want, and will pay extra for, a "connected home" - a home environment conveniently controlled from residents' smartphones, tablets, PCs or even connected-TV interfaces.
It's not just technology which continues to evolve - consumer expectations do, too. Consumers want everything now - and they don't have the patience to wait. Consumers communicate instantly, using different means, from any location. If, in the past, consumers had only one identity, today they have multiple: social, professional, family and so on. And for each identity, they have different needs and want to consume different communication and entertainment services. So is time to market becoming increasingly important? Definitely, according to research recently conducted by Amdocs.
In just a few days, telecommunications company Amdocs will be heading down the street from its Brazil office to participate in an event that is dubbed the largest and most qualified communications event, Futurecom 2011. "For the last four years Amdocs has participated at Futurecom," Manuel Briseno, Regional Marketing Director told TMCnet. "It's one of the largest, flagship events of the communications sector in Latin America and welcomes around 15,000 people from 40 countries. It's a great way to meet people from the industry from the region in one place." |
