DESCRIPTION:\nCommunications Developer Conference\nMay 14 - 17\, 2007
  \nHyatt Regency - Santa Clara\,
  CA\n\n--------------------------------------------------------------------
--------------\n\nIMS DEVELOPMENT TRACK (IMS)\n"Media and ISUP Signaling
Transition for IMS and other Next-Gen Networks" (IMS-02)\n\nTuesday -
05/15/07\, 1:15-2:15pm (PDT)\n\nThe IP Multimedia Subsystem (IMS) is
designed to provide services which can support a variety of endpoints\,
including current cell phones and next-gen SIP phones. In order to
accomplish this feat\, there is a need for both media and signaling
translation between the circuit networks and the emerging SIP/IMS
networks. IMS standards are emerging from the 3GPP to enable these
tasks\, but they are building on years of experience and existing
standards. In this discussion\, the speaker will review the role of media
and ISUP signaling translation in realizing the vision of IMS\, and
discuss current deployment experiences that are leading the way in
  advance of IMS. \n\n\nPresented by:\n\nJames Rafferty\nSenior Product
Manager\nCantata Technology\n\n\nUp to the Minute Schedules and Details
